Website terms for Victor Harbor clients in plain English
These are the website terms Victor Harbor and Fleurieu clients agree to for website projects, SEO, Google Ads and support plans from Website Design Victor Harbor. Your written quote sets out the details of your job. These terms sit alongside it.
What is included is written down before work starts
Every job starts with a written quote listing the price, what is included and an estimated timeline. Quotes are valid for 30 days unless the quote says otherwise. All prices are in Australian dollars and include GST.
If you ask for something that is not in the quote, I will let you know the cost before doing it. Nothing extra is added to your bill without your say so.
Simple, clear invoices
Website projects usually need a deposit before work begins, with the balance due at completion. The deposit amount and payment stages are shown on your quote. Invoices are due by the date shown on them.
Monthly plans for SEO, Google Ads management and website support are invoiced in advance each month. If an invoice is well overdue I may pause the work until it is paid.
Words, photos and logos you supply
You are responsible for making sure you have the right to use any text, photos, logos or other material you give me. Timelines depend on content and feedback coming back to me, so delays on your side may push the launch date out.
Where I write copy or source stock images for you, they are covered by the same ownership terms as the rest of the site.
The website is yours once it is paid for
Once the project is paid in full you own your website, its content and your domain name. You get full administrator access to WordPress and Elementor. Third party plugins, themes and fonts remain subject to their own licences.
I may list your website in my portfolio unless you ask me not to.
Paid separately from the website build
Domain names and website hosting are not included in website prices and are charged separately. Domains are registered in your name or your business name.
Hosting providers and domain registries have their own terms. I am not responsible for outages or changes made by those providers, although I will always help you sort out any problems.
Month to month with 30 days notice
SEO plans and updates and support plans run month to month with no lock in contract. To cancel, give me 30 days notice by email.
Google Ads management plans have the minimum terms shown on the pricing for each plan. After the minimum term they also continue month to month with 30 days notice.
Paid straight to Google
Your Google Ads budget is paid directly to Google from your own card or account. It is separate from my management fee. You control the budget and own the Google Ads account. You keep it if you stop using my services.
Honest effort, no false promises
No one controls Google’s search results or its ad auctions. I will do careful, honest work to improve your visibility and results, but I cannot guarantee a particular ranking, number of clicks or amount of sales.
Kept fair and reasonable
I take care with every job and fix my own mistakes. To the extent the law allows, I am not liable for indirect losses such as lost profits or lost business. My total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the work in question. Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.

These terms are governed by the laws of South Australia. If something goes wrong, please talk to me first. Most problems can be fixed with a phone call.
